The Civil War was like many of the modern wars that have taken place; however, in recent years we have seen a tremendous change in the way in which war is specifically performed. Over the many different wars that we as a country have experienced, we can see that the heroic changes have shifted. Many different types of heroes exist nowadays, but these war heroes have transitioned from strategists and planners, to those full of self-sacrifice.
